We tasted a few French wines in our prior tastings, but we never held an entire tasting on the most famous wine destination, France, until now.
We are visiting France this December 29th for a few of our favorites from France. Are you ready to sip and savor some of our French favorites for the holidays?
I am. And I am looking forward to sharing it all with you.
French Wine
France is famous for wine. The country is prolific in its types of soils, grapes, and methods of wine making and many believe the best wines in the world come from France. Best or not, there is a wealth of good quality wines and we will be tasting, pairing and discussing some great ones.
We also know it can be pricey (although it doesn’t need to be) and it can also be intimating (aren't these letters silent?) but this tasting will remove some of the mystery as we will taste wines from five of its most popular regions.
In this tasting, we shall visit; Bordeaux, Burgundy, Loire Valley, Rhone Valley, and of course we shall start with Champagne. We shall visit appreciate these regions as we discuss the styles, grapes, names, history and more.
Let’s review the selected wines.

What to Expect at Virtual Wine Tasting
This is my 8th public virtual wine tasting, if you have not attended before, this is what you can expect.
First off, I am ready to guide you on a wine journey from the comforts of your home. I will have researched the wine regions, the curated wines and will be able to share details to you as you taste the wine with identified pairings along with us virtually.
The tasting will be similar to our recent Wonderful World of Rose Tasting and will be held via zoom. So feel free to organize an event, a party, a date night, or join us solo and be part of the zoom tasting family.
I will entertain you (and your guests) for 90 minutes as we travel and taste five personally curated wines for this event.
Highlights will include to opportunity to:
Learn about the five most famous French wine regions including the grapes used in the wines that we often here are some of the best in the world. We will discuss what makes them special.
Taste wines scoring 90-96pts selected by several renowned wine critics.
Enjoy quality wines priced $25-$55 and open your palette to quality French wine.
Discover details on the history and story of the winemakers and unique (plus fun)facts about the wine itself.
Receive the wine presentation and general wine tasting preparation instructions prior to the event to maximize your enjoyment.
Taste recommended food pairings through a provided list of tastings shared 4-5 days prior to the event
Remember, all you need to do is sign up to join me on this virtual wine tasting on zoom and then order the wines that interest you and get ready to be entertained and educated. You don't need all the wines to participate either.... buy the ones you want to try or invite more people and have them come with a bottle. Remember this is all on your terms.
As a reminder the tasting is Friday December 29th, at 5pm Eastern Time (ET) to enable people to join from Europe and also California. The $13 entry fee provides access to a single zoom access. You do not need to pay per person. If you thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and find it offered more value to your evening and future wine experiences, there will be an opportunity to show and share additional appreciation through venmo (tips) and also with reviews.
So what are you waiting for? Sign up for our next Wine Tasting and reserve your spot (remember spots can be shared per household just like the wine) today and enjoy your holidays with a Friday evening wine celebration.
As a final reminder as the date approaches everyone signed up will receive and email with the presentation on the wines, a list of prepared tastings to have on hand to sample with the wines, and other important details for the zoom call. I’ll also remind you of little things to make sure you put a little luxury in your holiday season.
See you December 29th,
Stay Luxurious, Craig
